DATE: Monday 7 August, 1995
PLACE: Reading
WEATHER: Warm
REMARKS: A delayed start to the day as I try to make contact
with Rob Howell about site visits later in the week for work.
Tentative day is Thursday for the Exchange at Woking.
Late morning it's off to Tunbridge Wells. We get lost trying
to get onto the M25 (London Orbital), which delays us an hour.
Finally we sort it out and get to Tunbridge Wells about 1415.
Lunch in an English Pub -the Plaice and Chips are lovely.
A stroll through the Pantiles which are pretty, small old
shops. Desiree and the kids go to 'A Day at the Wells' attraction
while I go up High Street to the Library. The Reference section
has some interesting sources but nothing pointing at Murrell's
directly. However the phone book lists a lot of them, and
I obtain an address for the Secretary of the Family History
Society.
The return to Reading is straightforward, and dinner is
a Barbecue outside.
